MISS SOUTH CAROLINA CROWNED IN SPARTANBURG

Photo courtesy of Spartanburg Herald Journal Over the July Fourth weekend, Spartanburg was in the spotlight as it played host to the 2008 Miss SC Scholarship Pageant. The preliminary and final competition was held at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium. Fifty-one contestants from across the state competed in this year’s pageant. The contestants spent the week in the Spartanburg and the winner was announced on Saturday evening, July 5. Anna won a $20,000 scholarship and will now compete in the Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas next January. Good luck, Anna!
