Information for the Presidential InaugurationAs of Wednesday, November 19 at noon New Mexico time, my office has stopped accepting ticket requests to the Inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama.
Unfortunately, because of this high demand, I am unable to accommodate even a fraction of the number of ticket requests I've received. Given the very large number of requests and the limited supply of tickets I have to offer, I regretfully must stop accepting ticket requests. A ticket would have placed you physically closer to the Inauguration ceremony itself, but proximity is not the only way to connect with and participate in this momentous event. Please do not make your travel plans, or your enjoyment of this historic occasion, contingent upon your not having received a ticket. The Joint Congressional Committee on the Inauguration and other officials are planning to accommodate a large number of people wishing to view the Inauguration Ceremony with large-screen "JumboTrons" along the Mall and also along the parade route. Please visit the website of the Joint Committee and subscribe to that e-mail list to receive updates on what is happening on Inauguration Day. NOTE: We will be informing constituents at a later date whether or not we will be able to accommodate their ticket request.
IF WE LATER INFORM YOU THAT YOU WILL BE RECEIVING A TICKET, PLAN TO CLAIM YOUR TICKETS IN MY OFFICE |
