Frank Statement on Job Numbers

Washington, DC - House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D-MA) released the following statement regarding today’s job numbers:

            “Today’s job numbers makes it very clear that our economy is in serious trouble and in need of help.  There is now an absolute need for Congress to begin work on economic recovery initiatives and begin working with the new administration to get our economy back on track.  In addition, it needs to be pointed out that even as the Treasury Department works to improve the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act, it cannot work as we expected without simultaneous rescue of the entire economy.”
