Congressional Art Competition
Regulations- Only high school students may enter the competition.
- Only one entry per student.
- Each entry must have the student's name and address, and the high school name on the back.
- Artwork must be two dimensional and no larger than 32 inches by 32 inches framed.*
- The artwork must be within the following categories:
- Paintings (oils, acrylics, watercolors, etc.)
- Drawings
- Collages
- Prints (lithographs, silkscreens, monotypes, woodcuts, and intaglio methods)
- Photography
- Computer Generated
*PLEASE NOTE -- These dimensions were set due to increased participation in the competition by Congressional offices throughout the United States and must be strictly observed. Artwork which exceeds this size cannot be accepted due to limited exhibition space in Washington, DC. Entries do not need to be framed for the local contest. Framing will be required for the winner. However, there will be enough time for the entry to be framed by the winning student prior to sending it to Washington. Also, please mark which side is "up" on the back of each entry.
