Objective:
1) Provide the IWMU with velvetleaf seed specimens and soil beginning in Fall 2007 from the Marsden farm site to perform seed decay bioassays, 2) install multiple seeded cores at the Marsden farm in Fall 2007, 3) recover and send seeded cores or seeds recovered throught elutriation to IWMU in Spring 2008 and Fall 2008, 4) count and remove emerging weed seedlings from remaining seeded cores on a weekly basis in Spring 2008 from time of first emergence through final emergence, and 5) send the emergence data to IWMU in Excel format.

Approach:
IU will provide labor for seeded core installation and specimen recovery, site maintenance, storage and shipping of samples, and supporting data to conduct seed decay bioassay. Sample collection and storage will be conducted in accordance with procedures specified by the IWMU.
