An ammonia manifold called the “Impellicone” resulting from cooperative work between Iowa State University, CDS-John Blue Co. and NSTL personnel received the AE50 Outstanding Innovation Award for 2004 from the American Society of Agricultural Engineers. Improved ammonia manifolds allow more uniform and efficient application of this fertilizer.
