Conference Description

To share information, discuss and develop well-rounded, integrated approaches to risk assessment, risk management, and standard setting issues for drinking water and surface water contaminants.

The meeting will be held over 2-½ days (Wednesday, 8am–5pm; Thursday, 8am–5pm; and Friday, 8am–3pm).

Audience

Participants represent mainly State and Tribal health and environmental agencies, EPA headquarters and regional offices, and other federal agencies.

Pre-Registration

Attendance for the meeting is free of charge; however, you must pre-register to attend. You may register online.

Hotel Reservations

(Check-in time: 3pm; Checkout time: 12pm)

Participants are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and other expenses. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Crowne Plaza National Airport at Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia. Rooms are $201*/single or double occupancy plus tax (10.25%). When making room reservations please reference the Group Name, "EPA FSTRAC", in order to receive the special rate*. The cutoff date for the reserved block of rooms is October 7, 2008. Please make your arrangements as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to reserve a room at this hotel or receive the special rate* after October 7.

*Please note that the special room rate corresponds to the current U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) lodging rate. This rate is updated each year on October 1. The hotel reserves the right to change the room rate for your stay during the meeting to correspond to the prevailing maximum GSA lodging rate.

Directions to Crowne Plaza National Airport at Crystal City

From Reagan National Airport (1.5 miles): Follow signs for Route 1 out of airport to RT1 towards Washington DC. Take RT1 North to exit for 15th Street. At the end of the ramp make right turn onto 15th Street. 15th Street will end at Crystal Dr. Crowne Plaza will be on the left.
From Dulles Airport (26 miles): Follow signs for VA-267 East (Toll Road) toward Washington DC. Take exit to I-66 East to Route 110 South to Route 1 South (Jefferson Davis HW). Take exit for 15th Street. At the end of the ramp make a left turn onto 15th Street. 15th Street will end at Crystal Drive. Crowne Plaza will be on the left.
From BWI (39 miles) and points north: Take I-95 South to 395 North (exit 170) left two lanes. Continue on 395 North to Route 1 towards National Airport. From RT 1 take exit for 15th Street. 15th Street will end at Crystal Drive. Crowne Plaza will be on left.
From the West: Take Route 66 East to Route 110 South to Route 1 South (Jefferson Davis HW). Take exit for 15th Street. At the end of the ramp make a left turn onto 15th Street. 15th Street will end at Crystal Drive. Crowne Plaza will be on the left.
From the South: Follow I-95 across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge to Route 1 North exit. Stay on RT1 North for about 5 miles, you will pass through Alexandria and head towards Crystal City. Take the 15th Street exit. At the end of the ramp make a right turn onto 15th Street. 15th Street will end at Crystal Drive. Crowne Plaza will be on the left.
Hotel Parking: Parking is available at the hotel for the rate of $17.00 per day.

Transportation

Airport Shuttle: The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to and from Reagan National Airport from 5:30 am to 12:00 am.
Taxi: One way fare from Reagan National Airport is about $10; from Dulles International Airport about $50; and from BWI Airport about $80.
