Description:

This special topic session describes some of the activities of USEPA to support drinking water utilities in recovering from chemical, biological, or radiological incidents and returning to normal operations as quickly, safely, and cost-effectively as possible. An overview of the National Homeland Security Research Center’s decontamination research program will be presented. The Water Security Division will present research gaps identified by the Drinking Water and Wastewater Critical Infrastructure Partnership Advisory Council’s (CIPAC) Decontamination Working Group. The research presented in this session addresses some of the needs identified by drinking water utilities and key water sector stakeholders
