  • Improving alfalfa as a biofuel feedstock and livestock feed by modifying composition of cell walls.

 

Current or Planned Experiments

  • Using gene overexpression and silencing (RNA interference) to evaluate the role of selected genes in regulating cell wall composition.
  • Characterizing global gene expression in alfalfa using microarray analysis.
