Research Project: EVALUATING OF BREEDING LINES FOR SOYBEAN RUST RESISTANCE

Objective:
The purpose of the cooperative agreement is to evaluate rust resistant soybean breeding lines in the southern U.S.

Approach:
Seeds of breeding lines will be planted in the Gulf Coast Research and Extension Center in the summer of 2008. Plants will be rated for rust resistance in the fall of 2008. Lines that have good resistance and adaptation to Alabama conditions will be harvested for future use.
