[Acoustics] Re: Dell Laptops (Richard D Norman)

Norman,

Are you using USB-Serial adaptors? I had problem with these adaptors with a 
Dell Inspiron 1525. Finally, I found adaptors compatible with Vista and the 
problem was resolved. But now I had problem with the eco-sounder, always we 
used "dbt" like output string, but now (with Dell laptop and Vista system) 
RiverSurveyor program request me another string (that our ecosounder do not 
have). Is anyone having the same problem? Everything  was OK using RDI ADCP 
(Winriver program).
