Rules of Publishing

(Public Access Publishing Rules)

The following are the eleven rules that Agency employees must follow to publish on the EPA Internet Server.

  1. Follow the Office of Public Affairs (OPA) Product Review Guidelines.
  2. EPA information must be published on an EPA server.
  3. Maintain and be responsible for the information that you publish.
  4. Implement the graphic design standards.

  5. Pay the Working Capital Fund a share of the cost of the server.
  6. Do not infringe on copyrights.
  7. Create a record in the Web Inventory for each document.
  8. Follow good records management practices.
  9. Take care that external links conform to official Agency policy.
  10. Do not publish personal Web pages or photos of EPA employees.
  11. Participate in the activities of the EPA data provider community. Entering Intranet
