Primary Responsibilities/Activities:
My research efforts focus on the development of analytical methods for analysis of residues of fishery chemicals.  This work is conducted according to guidelines set by Good Laboratory Practices.  I also assist with target animal safety and efficacy studies to generate data to complete registration requirements for aquaculture drugs.  We are also working on a new research initiative investigating the affects of pharmaceuticals and personal care products on the aquatic environment.  My prior research at the lab involved the development of a replacement fungicide for malachite green for use on cultured fish and fish eggs.
