Primary Responsibilities/Activities:
Primary responsibilities include statistical support to the Upper Mississippi River’s Long Term Resource Monitoring Program and to Center scientists, and research in ecological statistics.

Research Interests:

• multilevel modeling
• mixture models

Active Projects:

• Investigate whether increasing homogeneity among backwater lakes may be observed over short time scales using water quality measurements
• Investigate the effects of multi-scale heterogeneity in occupancy and detection probabilities on estimates of those parameters
• Illustrate the importance of estimating covariate effects on ecological outcomes using data from multiple sampling events
