National Endowment for the Arts
Under its Grants to Organizations guidelines, the National Endowment for the Arts offers grants for projects that correspond to the following agency goals: Creativity, Organizational Capacity (Services to the Field), Access, Heritage/Preservation, and Arts Learning.
Of particular interestmay be the Arts learning goal: Children and youth learning in and through the arts.

For pre-K through 12 and youth arts programs that take place in, after, or out of school. Such programs may be designed to increase understanding of or proficiency in the arts, or they may use the arts to advance other educational goals.

For professional development opportunities for teachers, artists, youth program providers, and others who work in arts learning with children and youth.

For efforts that identify, support, or disseminate information on best practices, or that demonstrate the benefits of strong partnerships for effective arts learning.
It provides a central focus for the Arts Endowment's commitment to children and youth (generally early childhood through age 18) and the different ways that they learn in and through the arts. Assistance is not available for elementary or secondary schools directly. However, a school may participate in a consortium application or in a collaborative project that is submitted by an eligible organization. School districts and state and regional education agencies are eligible applicants.
In addition to Grants to Organizations funding, the Endowment offers assistance through special initiatives, such as Challenge America which will award Fast Track Grants of $5,000 or $10,000 in rural or underserved areas to address the Challenge America priority area of Positive Alternatives for Youth.
