Obtaining Documents

General Information
EPA's radiation documents are available by multiple methods:

Downloading Documents

You will find electronic copies of documents in either HTML or PDF format.

HTML Documents

You can view HTML documents on-line with your browser. You can save them to your computer for future reference or print them.

PDF Documents

To view PDF files you must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can view and print pdfs on-line or download them. If you do not have it, you can download the Reader for free from Adobe's Web site. The site also provides instructions on configuring your Web browser to use the Reader.

Note to visitors using screen readers: Many pdf documents on this site have been tagged for interpretation by screen readers. If you find a pdf document that you need which has not been tagged, please contact us through radiation.information@epa.govand we will assist you.

ZIP Documents

Large documents are often "zipped" or compressed to reduce the time required to download them. Although zip files can be downloaded with no additional software, you must have the appropriate software to decompress the files and make them useable with their native software. If you do not have zip software, you can learn about compression software and download a free trial version of WINZIP.
