The Criminal Division of the United States Attorney's Office is responsible for prosecuting all violations of federal law. The Division is supervised by Criminal Chief Thomas J. Bondurant, Jr., and Deputy Chief Donald R. Wolthuis. Deputy Chief Wolthuis oversees all narcotics and firearms prosecutions, which includes investigations conducted by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task force (OCDETF).

The remainder of the prosecutions are supervised by the Criminal Chief and include fraud (including mail fraud, bank fraud and healthcare fraud), public corruption (state, local and federal), violent crime (including specified murders and arsons), environmental crime, counterfeiting, civil rights violations, computer fraud, child pornography, public safety crimes (including the Mine Safety and Health Act) and all general federal crimes.
