Assistant United States Attorneys

Assistant U.S. Attorneys serve as the nation's principal litigators. As such, they conduct most of the trial work in which the United States is a party.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys are appointed by the Attorney General. They must reside in the district of their appointment.
