The United States Attorney's Office represents the federal government in virtually all litigation involving the United States in the Western District of Virginia, including criminal prosecutions for violations of federal law, lawsuits against the government, and actions to collect judgments and restitution on behalf of victims and taxpayers. In addition, the United States Attorney's Office actively works to enhance the cooperation of law enforcement agencies and community groups throughout the District.
