Media and Information Services (MIS) provides leadership in developing effective media and information services activities for OERI.

What do we do?

Media and Information Services is responsible for identifying and responding to customer needs through its outreach and publications activities. In addition, the office is responsible for establishing policies and procedures that ensure all OERI media products are of the highest quality in terms of content, format, and suitability for intended audiences.

How can we serve you?

Media and Information Services provides service to its customers through its Outreach and Customer Service Division and Publications Division. In performing its responsibilities, Media and Information Services

  • provides outreach services in the development and implementation of dissemination strategies;
  • ensures equitable access to support services across OERI through the Media Products Team;
  • provides and coordinates comprehensive support across program offices for conferences, meetings, and exhibits;
  • provides assistance in the development, production and distribution of video tape and other multi-media products; markets, disseminates, and distributes OERI products on educational research, reform, and statistics;
  • writes, reviews, edits and revises, and manages the production of publications and other materials to ensure exceptional quality and adherence to publication standards; and
  • manages contracts to perform writing, editing, design, and graphics work.
