AcademyHealth works with public and private-sector organizations to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between the health services research and policy worlds. For example, under contract to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ)  Knowledge Transfer Program, we work with health care providers, purchasers, health plans, and state and local government leaders to help them understand and apply health services research findings in their decision-making.

AcademyHealth synthesizes health reform experiences of more than 30 states and provides technical assistance to grantees for the Health Resources and Services Administration’s State Planning Grants program.

The International Exchange for Health Services Research and Policy allows U.S. researchers and policymakers to learn from health care systems elsewhere in the world, and provides the opportunity for our colleagues abroad to study health care delivery in this country.

AcademyHealth also sponsors periodic briefings to educate media, Congress, and other stakeholders on important health services research and policy issues.
