New Common Statement on Prior Publication Policy Provides Guidance for Authors

The emergence of electronic publishing and the increasing number of reports and papers generated by organizations and agencies has resulted in the need to clarify what constitutes previous publication. Editors from seven journals that publish articles on health, health services, and health policy have collaborated to produce a policy statement regarding the publication of original work that has not previously been published.
