The Department's Office of Educational Technology works to assist the education community with meeting the national goals for educational technology. Achievements in access and connectivity have been significant; now educators must be trained to use technology to improve teaching and learning. Information on supporting initiatives and investments can be found in Objective 1.7 of the Department's Annual Plan for FY01, schools use advanced technology for all students and teachers to improve education. Related performance reports and plans for individual educational technology programs, such as Technology Literacy Challenge Programs, Star Schools, Regional Technology in Education Consortia, Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to Use Technology, and Learning Anytime Anywhere Partnerships are also available.
