Visitors from the USGS Director's Office and NOAA
Paul Young from the USGS Director's Office on Strategic Planning visited the Woods Hole Field Center (WHFC) on December 5th. After attending the monthly Center meeting, he visited scientists for briefings. With his background in GIS and Information, he began his tour with seafloor mapping (Brad Butman) and the Marine Realms Information Bank (Fausto Marincioni and Fran Hotchkiss). He was also briefed on habitat mapping in the Gulf of Mexico (Kathy Scanlon), gas hydrate studies (Bill Dillon), and coastal erosion studies with SWASH (Jeff List).
