Center Director: Lippmann, Morton
Title: Subchronic PM2.5 Exposure Study at the NYU PM Center
Investigators: Lippmann, Morton
Current Investigators: Lippmann, Morton , Chen, Lung Chi
Institution: NYU School of Medicine
EPA Project Officer: Katz, Stacey
Project Period: June 1, 1999 through May 31, 2004
RFA: Airborne Particulate Matter (PM) Centers (1999)
Research Category: Particulate Matter

Description:

Objective:

The objectives of this research project are to: (1) obtain the relationship between the ambient temperature and relative humidity (RH) with the operational parameters of the Sioutas virtual impactor ambient concentrater; (2) fine-tune the operational parameters of the concentrator; (3) investigate whether the biological responses change with the composition of particulate matter (PM); (4) construct an impactor inlet; and (5) purchase and breed mice needed for the study.
