The Commercial Harvesting of marine products within Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge requires a permit. The cost of the permit is $150. Permits are valid from October 1st thru September 30th. Marine-life harvesting includes clams, oysters, shrimp, crabs, bait fish, and fish in accordance with Florida State Laws. Your completed application, along with copies of your SPL license & boat registration(s) are required to process your permit. All applications are subject to review. Prior violations of permit conditions, or failure to submit mandatory catch logs may adversely affect permit renewal eligibility.
