Environmental education is one of the primary objectives of the National Wildlife Refuge System.  Merritt Island NWR is an excellent place to bring a class to conduct hands-on environmental education activities and programs.  The refuge has an open pavilion (use by permit only) with restrooms and offers 8 different educational programs for grades K-9.   For additional information, contact the Refuge Visitor Center at (321) 861-0668.
