Partner Profile
An employee-owned company headquartered in Watertown, MA, Cadmus helps governmental, non-profit, and corporate clients address critical challenges in the environmental and energy sectors. Cadmus joined the EPA Green Power Partnership in 2006. In 2008 Cadmus merged with Quantec, LLC, based in Portland, Oregon. Company-wide Cadmus is using green power to supply over 40 percent of its electricity. With this purchase Cadmus is continuing its participation in the Massachusetts' Clean Energy Choice program, which matches the value of the company's renewable energy purchase in a contribution to the town. To date, Cadmus and its employees have raised nearly $7,000 for the town of Watertown, which will use the funds to help pay for solar PV systems on one or more K-12 schools. "Our commitment to renewable energy sources is one example of how we strive to promote environmental protection, not only in the work we do, but also in how we run our business. Electricity generation is a significant source of air pollution and greenhouse gases nationwide, but promoting renewable sources helps reduce the environmental impacts related to energy production. And it helps drive down the cost of renewable energy over the long term, making it more accessible to businesses and individuals alike and increasing its benefits to the environment," said Cadmus president and CEO Ian Kline. Cadmus would recommend that other organizations consider joining local green energy efforts in addition to supporting the EPA Green Power Partnership. For example, Cadmus' commitment has raised its employee-owners' awareness about green power and has encouraged them to seek green energy sources for their homes.
