This year’s ceremony was attended by over 500 government, business, and non-profit sector leaders and diplomatic corps officials. One of the highlights of the program was the traditional presentation of colors by the joint U.S. Marine Corps/Moroccan Color Guard, followed by the national anthems of Morocco and the United States.

This year, the recipients of the award were Ambassador Youssef Amrani, General Secretary at Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and Ms. Wassane Zailachi, former Director of  the North America Division at Ministry of Foreign Affairs and presently Deputy Minister at the Embassy of Morocco in Washington.
