This beaver dam is located just upstream of a bridge over First Creek. This image is a reminder that surface environment of Mammoth Cave has both diverse biological, geological, historical, and archeological resources, and is another reason that Mammoth Cave National Park is also a core area of the International Biosphere Reserve as well as a World Heritage Site.
