Objective:
Investigate the composition of sorghum bran with emphasis on phytochemical compounds. Investigate the ability of compounds in sorghum bran to reduce preneoplastic lesions of colon cancer.

Approach:
Isolate sorghum bran using abrasive decortication. Characterize compounds in sorghum bran. Use bran fractions in rat feeding trials to evaluate effects on reducing colon cancer lesions.
