This image was created using photographs taken from the hill just below Mailekini and Puukohola Heiaus, overlooking Pelekane Bay. Although not officially part of the Puukohola Heiau National Historic Site, the waters of Pelekane Bay are managed by the U.S. National Park Service through an understanding with the State.
