Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Program

Description: The Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary data were part of a large, multi-disciplinary experiment to characterize the Sanctuary's geologic environment. These data were used to generate a sediment budget for the Sanctuary that can be applied to the prediction of how sediments and pollutants move through the Sanctuary and how long pollutants stay in the Sanctuary.

Duration: 1995 to 1998

USGS PI's: Marlene Noble, Stephen Eittreim

Publication: http://walrus.wr.usgs.gov/mbms/

Field Activity Reports: 95030, 96029, 96042, 97028, 97053, 98023, 98038
