Description: A winter field experiment to understand the transport of sediments in the Hudson Shelf Valley, offshore of New York. The valley is a potential conduit for the movement of sediments and associated contaminants across the shelf. The experiment was designed to investigate the role of winter storms in transporting sediments in the valley. Duration: December 1999 - April 2000 USGS PIs: B. Butman, C. Harris Collaborators: P.
