Stuart Macdonald, National Association of State Trail Administrators (NASTA) and Christopher Douwes, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) opened the meeting by welcoming the participants and providing an overview of our meeting agenda and goals. The participants introduced themselves and gave a brief background of their local issues and personal goals for the meeting. Some States were not able to attend because out-of-State travel restrictions.
