Welcome

to the Biological Control of Insects Research Laboratory (BCIRL) web site. BCIRL is one of three ARS Research Units in Columbia, Missouri and is located on a 10 acre tract of federally owned property in Research Park at the University of Missouri.

 

 

 

The mission of BCIRL is to effectively use biological control agents for the management of pest populations of insects and weeds.  BCIRL objectives are part of a larger ARS initiative to integrate the use of biological control agents into sustainable pest management systems.
