Our Goal is to expand family planning options by making Fertility Awareness-Based (FAB) methods widely available through high quality services and information. The Institute:

  • Translates complex concepts into simple, practical approaches and manageable information;
  • Establishes the efficacy of FAB methods and identifies best practices through clinical trials, operations research and behavioral studies; and
  • Increases access to and acceptability of FAB methods worldwide through partnerships.

  • The Institute for Reproductive Health was awarded a five-year, $38 million grant by USAID to expand access to FAB methods and ensure their sustainability in developing countries. (Press Release)
  • Standard Days Method introduction had a positive overall effect on the quality of care but provider training needed adjustments, according to an article published in Evaluation Review that presents an evaluation framework to assess method introduction in Peru Ministry of Health clinics.
