The Department of Agronomy has a rich tradition of discovering and disseminating information needed by the public to make informed decisions about agricultural and environmental issues. We have an outstanding scientific community of faculty and staff who are creative in solving problems and developing effective educational programs to a diverse clientele and who are adaptive to a changing society and industry.

We recognize that there are no boundaries to those we serve. Our clientele consists of students, parents, the private sector, the public sector, farm producers, state and federal legislators, alumni, the citizens of Indiana, the U.S. and the international community. We are committed to developing novel and sound approaches and providing relevant information to solve problems and enhance productivity to improve the quality of life and ensure agricultural and environmental sustainability worldwide.
