Hamer Center for Community Design

The mission of the Hamer Center is to promote public interest art, architecture, and design by supporting collaborative research projects, facilitating dialogue between the academic and practitioner communities, and recognizing excellence in planning and design from an international perspective.

 

The Hamer Center is active in four areas:

ThinkTank

Developing a body of knowledge, critical theory and reflection about community-based planning & design.

Catalyst

Organizing forums, disseminating writings and projects, and recognizing excellence through awards and grant support.

Envisioning Citizenship

Creating and disseminating technology based tools and templates.

Creative Commons

Promoting built works in the public landscape.
