Purpose
High-resolution geologic mapping and characterization of the sea floor
offshore of Massachusetts.
Information to be Derived
Habitat maps, sea floor map, bathymetric maps, morphology.
Summary
Completed ~ 73% of survey between 22 Sep and 15 Oct 03. Collected Swath
bathymetry (depth & backscatter) with Submetrix, Seismic reflection with
Knudsen, and side scan imagery with DF1000. Plan to complete survey in Spring
2004
Notes
Navigation Techniques: Real-time kinematic GPS; 710 km continuous data.
