Mission:

Our mission is to anticipate, identify,
and solve natural resource problems in
agriculture that are important to the USA
in general and the SE Coastal Plain in
particular.  The staff conducts both basic
and applied research, emphasizes total
resource management, and currently
focuses on six National Programs (NP):

• NP 201 Water Resource Management
• NP 202 Soil Resource Management
• NP 206 Manure and Byproduct Utilization
• NP 207 Integrated Agricultural Systems
• NP 301 Plant Genetic Resources, Genomics and Genetic Improvement
• NP 305 Crop Production
