Research Project: THE COLLECTION AND CONSERVATION OF CULTIVATED AND WILD CROP GENETIC RESOURCES

4d.Progress report.
This report serves to document research conducted under a specific cooperative agreement between ARS and the Genetic Resources Institute, Baku, Azerbaijan Additional details of research can be found in the report for the parent project 1275-21000-162-00D: ASSESSMENT AND EXCHANGE OF PLANT BIODIVERSITY AND GENETIC RESOURCES through this collaboration funds were provided to the National Genebank of Azerbaijan for seed processing and packaging equipment and a plant exploration for Woody Landscape Plants by the Curator of the Woody Landscape Plant Germplasm Repository at the U.S. National Arboretum was organized and funded and arrangements were made for continued collection of these species by Azerbaijan scientists. A Material Transfer Agreement was established with the National Authority in Azerbaijan for genetic resources to cover collected germplasm.
