USAID is a key partner in President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, which is operating on a $2.8 billion budget for fiscal year 2005. In addition to the focus countries of this initiative, USAID supports HIV/AIDS activities in more than 50 countries through bilateral programs and an additional 48 through seven regional programs.
