Datascope Corporation manufactures proprietary products for clinical health care markets in interventional cardiology and radiology, anesthesiology, cardiovascular and vascular surgery, emergency medicine and critical care. Datascope manufactures and sells an IntraAortic Balloon Pump (IABP) system, which is used in the treatment of cardiac shock, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmia, and in cardiac surgery and coronary angioplasty. They have also recently introduced the VasoSeal® Vascular Hemostasis Device, a collagen-based device capable of quickly sealing arterial punctures after procedures requiring femoral arterial catheterization including balloon angioplasty, diagnostic angiography and the use of stents). |
