Objective:
This public/community workshop will provide a platform for multidisciplinary scientists, researchers, and regulators and policymakers from diverse fields related to the problem of agricultural air quality to share their knowledge, to present new research, and to work together to develop new avenues for science and technology transfer, education, and outreach.

Approach:
This workshop will play a significant role in helping shape the future of agricultural practices and agricultural air quality analysis framework for the United States. By providing a platform that brings together experts from diverse fields related to the problem of agricultural air quality you create a unique opportunity for invited participants to work together to create a document that can be used to improve air quality emission inventories in the agricultural/rural areas for air pollutants; to recommend changes and improvements in measurement technologies and monitoring methodologies, modeling and transport of odor and air pollutants; and to recommend best production practices to mitigate air pollutant emissions. Presentations made at the workshop will be complied as proceedings of the workshop. In addition, an attempt will be made to publish the workshop synthesis and assessment of agricultural air quality in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
