Objective:
This project will help Iraq develop and access a safer and more reliable food supply with an emphasis on building agricultural research capacity that does not include potentially dangerous radioactive sources. The project includes human capacity development that will require cooperation and regular interaction between the cooperating partners.

Approach:
USDA will assist DOS/ISN/NESS and the Iraq Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) produce a scientific assessment containing area assessments and integrated research design concepts.
