Objective:
The objective of this cooperative research project is to synthesize and characterize trans-free structured lipids having novel food applications.
Approach:
Specified tailored lipid products synthesized in the collaborator's laboratory will be characterized at ERRC utilizing the expertise and infrastructure located here at ERRC that supports our programs. The FOAC Research unit has state of the art instrumentation including GC-MS, HPLC-MS, MALDI-TOF-TOF-MS and an NMR facility with 200 and 400 MHz instrumentation.
