MosBuild Expected to Generate 1+ Million Euros in Contracts for Serbian Firms

Eight Serbian companies report success from their first-ever participation in the International Building and Interiors Exhibition (MosBuild) in Moscow, one of the largest trade fairs in Russia. The first deal negotiated by a Serbian firm, worth 80,000 Euros, was signed on-site at the April 2008 fair; a second, worth 500,000 Euros, is currently being negotiated. More negotiations are anticipated which could result in more than 1 million Euros in deals generated through the event.

The Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) and the USAID Competitiveness Project supported the eight Serbian companies’ MosBuild participation to boost Serbian exports and sales in the growing Russian market. Serbian firms made nearly 200 individual contacts with potential Russian buyers during the four-day event; of these, 70 will be pursued for follow-up.

Serbian exhibitors hoped to expand exports and sales in the growing Russian market by making contacts at the International Building and Interiors Exhibition (MosBuild) in Moscow.
