The two hills in the distance, approximately one to two kilometers away, have been dubbed the "Twin Peaks" and are of great interest to Pathfinder scientists as objects of future study. 3D glasses are necessary to identify surface detail. The white areas on the left hill, called the "Ski Run" by scientists, may have been formed by hydrologic processes.
The IMP is a stereo imaging system with color capability provided by 24 selectable filters -- twelve filters per "eye. Click below to see the left and right views individually.
