Earth Observing 1 (EO-1)

ALI Archive Scenes

The acquisition map for the EO-1 Advanced Land Imager (ALI) sensor reveals the spatial location of scenes within the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Center for Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) archive. Each red dot on the map indicates the location of a scene, but does not represent the exact footprint of the area imaged. Likewise, the red dots do not reflect temporal repetition of a scene at a given location. The static map graphics are updated periodically to show a representation of acquired scene coverage within the archive. EO-1 coverage does not encompass the entire globe because data collection events are based upon customer Data Acquisition Requests (DARs). To retrieve a more accurate position and footprint for a specified EO-1 scene, please access the USGS search and order tool EarthExplorer or GloVis.
